The breath offers to us an ancient practice with modern methods for maximizing every moment of our day. Humans take 20,000-30,000 breaths a day. Imagine this…. 1% of those breaths transform into a full breath where we open and relax, release and let go, creating an expansion of human potential. There is nothing - N O T H I N G - as accessible, immediate and free as the breath. But that’s not all… there’s more available to us than taking a deep breath under stress.
Read MoreI woke this morning in a similar way to most mornings - with the dialogue in my head beginning before my eyes caught a glimpse of light. In the in-between state of dreaming and waking, I tried to process the information - “leave early and bring 3 extra coffees”. Leave when? Do what? I barely remembered what I was leaving for.
Read MoreLast summer I found myself living in a new town, starting all over in the making friendships arena, feeling fully satisfied with our decision to move closer to family and totally disconnected all at once. I could feel the strings of depression attaching themselves to my heart, something I’ve felt many times in my lifetime.
I took my son for his well-visit and when the Dr. asked me how I was doing, I cried - so unexpectedly that when I cried, I asked him if he could help me.
Just a few days later, we met and he helped me to understand my depression was directly linked to anxiety. What? I had no idea I even had anxiety until he explained to me about mini-panic attacks, and more.
Read MoreI hear my excuse voice tell me to go out and experience this city more. “You don’t know when you’ll be back!”
I almost give in. I can write at home I think. Or on the train. Or anywhere but here!
But that quieter voice, the intuitive one, whispers to soak in the inspiration and be. Do this for me.
So often the desire to write a book is blocked by external tangible goals. Have a book people want to read, write something meaningful that changes lives, get on a list of best-sellers...

Read MoreWe’re a modern society with women awakening to their true presence and power. You’d think by now we could have come up with a better term for a woman who is giving her all, doing her best, and loving her child as much as she can.
Oh… I have it.
How about mom?
Or mommy.
Or mama.
Can we please strike this notion that being a good mom is something we have to strive for?
Read MoreThe sunlight was beginning to glisten on the water and the morning steam was rising off the lake. I had jumped out of bed that morning before the sun with the most energy I’d mustered in a long time. It was morning walk day with my dear friend, Ashleigh.
You know when you have a soul sister who converses with reflection that gives way for the rising of something to the surface that’s buried within? She’s one of those for me.
The last time we talked I was inspired to be of a more of a yes girl when it comes to life and intimacy. On this very morning with the summer steam already throwing a layer of warmth on the ground I was ready to feel that spark lit within in the way only a walk with another yes girl can do.
Read MoreIf you are a parent of a child who owns legos, surely you’ve heard, “mommmmm!” can you help me find….. Like with most toys that sink my child into the depths of thought and enjoyment there is love for the longevity of legos, and there is hate - for stepping on another piece of lego may permanently injure my foot!
I used to dread this call of duty, knowing I’d be tasked with finding the most obscure lego piece is a sea of pieces as if to test, how crazy are you feeling today, Stephanie, huh? This will show you!
Read MoreHave you ever been so angry at another person you wanted to throw your water bottle (or whatever happens to be in reach) towards them?
Some may call that rage, but if you understand what I’m saying, we’re now friends. We get each other.
When you recognize the fire within that is so explosive sometimes it ignites surprising even oneself, I’d say you’re a beautiful being on a crazy soul journey. Is the feeling shocking? Yes. Alarming? Maybe. Immediate relief comes from taking the desired action - just talking about throwing something makes my inner darkness smile with glee - but energy boosts come when you move through the ego and transcend into the work of the inner goddess.
Read MoreWhen you are in tune with the energy of fear, you know the paralyzation of your body and your emotions. It’s seemingly easy for your mind to take over and shift every thought towards the negative - for fear breeds fear like a virus running rampant in the body.
Once you’ve lived through fear and fully released the energy from your body, it's easier to understand that underneath these dark life experiences there is massive growth.
With each spiritual experience comes a new awakening to who you are in this world and your infinite power.
Read MoreMay I always remember that warm August day when my oldest looked at me and said, “mom, something feels weird in my mouth” and I looked to see two adult teeth - shark teeth as they say - popping in behind his very first loose tooth.
At first there was shock and fear. The thought my son’s teeth would look strange forever floated through my mind. After a deep breath and some calming thoughts, I wanted to see again. His very first loose tooth! I instantly and equally felt both joy and sorrow. Crossing this threshold brings my baby boy to a new level of consciousness - a tiny step towards adulthood - and into school age readiness. In some schools of study they call this very event, the first puberty...

And yet, how many of us have felt lonely, misunderstood, alone in our parenting, and lost in our adult lives? Maybe even in your marriage? Stepping into vulnerability territory can feel both scary, and scared, all at once. Finding a tribe who reciprocates your openness, who sees you as the light you are in this world, who hears your struggles as well as your successes is a key to showing up as the wonder woman of your life story.

She’s ready to carry forth your power and your purpose in this world. She is vibrant, possibly fiery and ferocious - almost with a rage that says, “Let me out! I’m ready to shine. This world is mine!”
You may know this voice as the voice of confidence. You may hear her when you envision the future as you dance between the worlds of who you are now now in step with whom you wish to be.

We don’t even have to know how or why to sit with the truth that we are all healers on this beautiful Earth.
Expansive. Empowered. Strong. Like a Goddess within.

Many people around you are living with this overall belief today.
When we have past experiences, particularly as a child, which pattern our brain to believe I am not safe, we begin to equate all discomfort with fear.
Energetically, if we equate discomfort with fear, we get stuck - thereby limiting our potential.

Read MoreYou’re a modern day mom, giving your all to your family, your husband or partner, your career or passions, and striving to maintain that perfect balance between giving to others and taking care of yourself. From the time your eyes open in the morning until the time they close at night, you are always on - doing, being, and loving. Somedays it feels as if no matter how much you do, it’s never enough. At the end of the day instead of feeling fulfilled, you are exhausted.
FOR SO MANY OF US, THAT EXHAUSTION SEEMS TO STILL BE THERE IN THE MORNING WHEN OUR FEET HIT THE FLOOR.

I have a question for you...
What could be if we all removed this phrase from our life ~ "This might sound crazy but..."
and instead honored our own imaginative thoughts and ideas as truths.

I used to question the thought of someone crying in yoga. Like, how does that even happen?
Until it happened to me.
